The National Association of Vacation Rental Properties does have standards and expects all members to adhere and abide by them.
They are as follows:
- Strive for excellence in professional business relationships.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and professional conduct.
- Accept responsibilities for actions taken on your behalf.
- Treat those with respect as you wish to be treated.
- Maintain loyalty to all members of the rental community.
- Resolve issues immediately and respectfully in a timely manner.
- Abide by the standards of the association policies and regulatory business laws.
- Ensure that all information presented is accurate and truthful in advertising.
- Actively promote the business in an ethical and non-discriminating manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information that you are trusted with.
- Do not share any personal information that is withheld to you.
- do not accept offers for personal gain from business related activities.
- Disclose all necessary information to protect the interest of the consumer.
- Create and promote a positive image for the association.
- Cooperate with the associations executives and officers.
- Continually seek to enhance your business and professional capabilities.
- All vacation rental properties must be licensed by the state/providence in which it operates.

This unacceptable business behavior outline is intended to encourage those not to practice any of the following:
