The National Association of Vacation Rental Properties does have standards and expects all members to adhere and abide by them. 

They are as follows:

  • Strive for excellence in professional business relationships.

 

  • Maintain high standards of integrity and professional conduct.

 

  • Accept responsibilities for actions taken on your behalf.

 

  • Treat those with respect as you wish to be treated.

 

  • Maintain loyalty to all members of the rental community.

 

  • Resolve issues immediately and respectfully in a timely manner.

 

  • Abide by the standards of the association policies and regulatory business laws.

 

  • Ensure that all information presented is accurate and truthful in advertising.

 

  • Actively promote the business in an ethical and non-discriminating manner.

 

  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information that you are trusted with.

 

  • Do not share any personal information that is withheld to you.

 

  • do not accept offers for personal gain from business related activities.

 

  • Disclose all necessary information to protect the interest of the consumer.

 

  • Create and promote a positive image for the association.

 

  • Cooperate with the associations executives and officers.

 

  • Continually seek to enhance your business and professional capabilities.

 

  • All vacation rental properties must be licensed by the state/providence in which it operates.

 

       

Unacceptable Business Behavior

This unacceptable business behavior outline is intended to encourage those not to practice any of the following:

 

  • Do not provide falsified information to the consumer.

 

  • Do not be deceptive or misleading in advertising or the marketplace.

 

  • Do not misrepresent you vacation rental property either by description or photos.

 

  • Do not practice illegal business.

 

  • Do not encourage others to act on behalf on a non existing company.

 

  • Do not violate state, providence, or national policies and regulations.

 

  • Do not disclose any confidential information.
