Welcome to the NAVRP.

Our Mission:

The core purpose of creating the National Association of Vacation Rental Properties (NAVRP) is to help all its members to become more profitable and successful by establishing a Higher National Standard for Vacation Rental Properties.

We are an independent company that has an unbiased opinion on all vacation rental properties and we provide inspections and assist with accreditations to the vacation rental industry as well.

This website has been designed to assist both the tourist and vacation property manager / owner with higher standards for vacation rental properties.

We would like all vacation rental property managers / owners to have a higher standard for their properties to ensure that all vacationers are aware of the property that they are going to rent and that they are getting what they are requesting.

What is a Vacation Rental Property?

A Vacation Rental Property is a private dwelling that is commonly utilized for the purpose of renting that dwelling for a predetermined length of time.
This is usually done by the owners of the property or a management company that manages the business of the property.

A vacation rental property typically has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, seperate bedroom(s), linens and towels, laundry facilities, television(s), telephone service and provides more privacy and amenities than a hotel for the guests.
Vacation rental properties are self catering and you must shop for all your needs, such as groceries etc.. and the property has the amenities needed such as towels, linens, cooking facitlities and more.
Not every property is the same or offers the same amenities.  Each property has its own seperate amenities and accommodations provided to their guest based on the property owners discretion.

What do Property Managers Charge and what do they do for their fees?

Most Property managers have a fee they charge for maintaining the property, paying the bills and maintaining the pool and lawn.  There is an abundance of other services they can charge depending on their own preferences and those agreed by both parties.
A Standard fee starts at approx. $120.00 per month.  This fee is normally used for maintaining the property (paying bills etc.) and providing bookings for that property.  An additional fee would be allocated for cleaning the property in between guests (usually subcontracted out).
There is also a fee for lawn service (usually $65.00) and a pool maintanence fee (usually $65.00).  Although all companies are different and have different companies subcontracted to perform these duties, the prices may fluctuate.

Some owners will provide their own bookings and that would need to be discussed with the property manager in advance prior to singing a contract.
Some property managers will provide a webpage for their clients which allows perspective guests to view the home online prior to making a commitment.

The NAVRP suggests that all photos be up to date within a one year time period.  This will help with its bookings and provide the guests with the proper description of the property in question.
